The Movers and Shakers

Team Marketfish

Dave Scott

Dave Scott | Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dave Scott has been a frustrated marketing executive for years. Having faced the lead-generation problem while serving as vice president of marketing for a number of businesses, he quickly became an expert. While touring the country speaking on lead generation, Dave quickly realized that every company has the same problem. This is why Marketfish was formed.

Prior to founding Marketfish, Dave was the chief marketing officer for a local Seattle startup. Dave has also served as vice president of global marketing and strategy at Intermec, Inc. (NYSE:IN), and vice president of marketing and strategy for the global services division of PeopleSoft, Inc. (acquired by Oracle [NASDAQ:ORCL]). His management pedigree also includes AT&T Wireless, Boston Consulting Group and General Electric. He earned dual bachelor degrees in computer science and political philosophy from The College of William and Mary, and earned his MBA at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with distinction. Dave sits on the boards of Goodwill and Powerful Schools and is a member of Rotary International. He is an avid sailor, scuba diver and nationally ranked board game champion. Dave is also the recipient of the CMO Council's "CMO of the Year" award in 2004 and Puget Sound Business Journal's "40 Under 40" award in 2007.

Andy Thomas

Andy Thomas | Chief Technology Officer

Andy Thomas comes to Marketfish with a personal mission to revolutionize online direct marketing through the application of leading-edge technology. Having spent more than 10 years guiding the development of the Atlas Advertising Suite at aQuantive, he understands the impact that efficient campaign planning and accountable media have on maximizing advertiser ROI. Andy also brings a passion for customer-focused software development, resulting in rapid, high-quality product innovations that address the most pressing needs of our customers.

Prior to joining Marketfish, Andy received bachelor's and master's degrees from Stanford University, and has worked for more than 18 years creating software solutions to problems ranging from geomechanical numerical modeling at Golder Associates to healthcare data warehousing at HBS International to the delivery and analysis of online display and paid search advertising at aQuantive. Following Microsoft's acquisition of aQuantive in 2007, Andy continued to lead the development of ad delivery, log file processing and reporting systems at Atlas, as well as working to converge reporting systems across the entire Microsoft ad platform. Andy owns more telescopes than computers, and when not obsessing about how to improve online marketing technology, he stays up too late stargazing from his backyard in Seattle. When the sun is up, he also enjoys snowboarding and bicycling.
