TweetThe mission of Marketfish
What is Marketfish? Contrary to what our wayward Googlers seem to think, we are not a fish market (sorry disgruntled Norwegians.) Actually, Marketfish is a product that makes marketer’s lives easier by allowing them to set up automated list marketing campaigns in as little as 30 minutes. Hooked yet? Keep reading.
Why List Marketing?
When it came to revamping list marketing, we couldn’t have asked for a bigger fish to fry. List marketing is a Goliath industry, currently $4.5 billion in the U.S. alone. Luckily, my mom named me David. Also luckily, I had sixteen years of marketing executive experience under my belt, so I knew how painful my fellow marketers and I found the current process to be, and how much we would welcome a better way.
What was so wrong with list marketing, you ask? Despite being a true industry giant, list marketing had several key pitfalls that was keeping it from being a profitable or positive experience for marketers. The high premiums charged by list brokers and managers, the slow turnaround times, and the lack of metrics data are a few examples of what needed to change.
We had the necessity; now we just needed the invention.
Marketfish to the Rescue
All it took was a simple look at platforms like Google Adwords, Doubleclick and the other self-serve products that were quietly transforming the marketing industry to know what our next step was.
Like our fellow Saas platforms, Marketfish puts marketers in the driver’s seat, allowing them to finally enjoy an omniscient view of performance data, to control their own campaigns, and to gain crucial insights into their customer behavior. Marketfish even provides best-of-breed features like a list quality score so marketers can check out a list’s performance stats before they purchase it. Marketfish truly provides that under-the-hood experience that’s been missing from list marketing industry.
In short, some may say our list marketing Saas platform doesn’t carry the same ooh-aah factor as the average Pike Place fish toss. But those people simply haven’t signed up for our beta yet.
Cheers,
Dave Scott
