Building a business is hard work — especially when you’re trying to be as transformational as Marketfish. It’s not easy bucking the trend and changing the way an entire industry works. But every once in a while, a customer says something that reinforces why we do what we do. This type of feedback charges our batteries and validates our efforts. Here is one such email:
“If it’s any consolation, I just happened to stumble upon you guys while googling around for lists. Compared to some of the straight-out list vendors and others who seemed like plaid pant-wearing used car salesmen (no offence against these great characters), you’all were very refreshing and the value-prop was straight forward – low fuss no muss, nicely qualified lists that you can get and execute on in minutes. Painlessly easy. And your marketing gals/guys are earning their keep – great branding, from color palette to voice/tone, approachability and I could get someone on the phone right away. Even the front desk was very helpful.
Marketfish was not on the list of vendors I was asked to investigate but I put you on it for these reasons.
It reminded me of the best of what was the dot com boom when some companies really were getting it right and doing it right and you could tell with each interaction with the company – this wasn’t vaporware or veneer passion. Aaah, memories!
Anyway – I’m writing this with the specific intent that you mention it to your higher-ups if only to let them know their doing a great job.
